In November, we visited Buckingham Palace for a reception with The King. We were nominated and then invited to attend the event which recognised the contribution of small businesses to the economy.
Our Customer Service Coordinator, Sunita, attended and was lucky enough to shake The King’s hand. The event was held in one of the art gallery rooms with drinks and canapes and Sunita enjoyed meeting some of the 300 other business people at the event.
Sunita said “I was one of the ones who got to meet and greet [The King] and we shook hands which was surreal… I was told that Buckingham Palace host events weekly, but His Majesty does not always attend them, so I think we were so fortunate to have him present.”
Other royalty that attended the event was The Earl of Wessex, The Duke of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent. Peter Jones from Dragons Den, and the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Grant Shapps, were also present for the evening.
The team are proud to have been recognised at such a fantastic event, and we look forward to continuing our growth journey in the coming years. We have so much more to contribute to our industry and of course the wider economy.
