Site Agent – Severn Trent Works

Organise and manage the systems of work for your allocated discipline including management of the relevant supply chain.

Develop programmes and forecast budgets with the Senior Agent, derive simple indices to assess actual programme and productivity achieved and prepare reports for weekly and monthly reviews.

Be fully conversant with supply chain contract conditions and responsibilities, manage their works and account measurement with the commercial team.

Ensure key project and programme risks are identified early, and mitigated where possible, with issues and blockers escalated immediately to the PM.

Have Temporary Works Coordination experience and training

Requisitioning resources in a timely manner to ensure that they are correctly specified and readily available so as not to impede the construction programme.

Reconciliation of planned versus actual resources for compilation of weekly reports and the control and ordering of resources.

Complete inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works ensuring that all necessary documentation are produced in a timely manner.

Communicate to the QA any non-conformances

Communicate to the QS any instructions received from the client / designer to aid recovery

Ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintained.

Ensure all delivery tickets are cost coded and passed to accounts dept for processing.

Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client / designer project team.

Manage supervise and mentor site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and appropriate records.

Regularly review with the Senior Agent the performance, training and development needs of your direct reports.

Adherence to Company policies and procedures.

Skills / Qualifications: Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng)., Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS., Relevant CSCS Card, CPCS Lifting Appointed Person, Temporary Works Coordinator qualification/experience, Understanding of Engineering Principles and extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices, Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract through formal training., Successful experience at Senior Engineer level, Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software)., Current Driving Licence, Good communication skills for interface with members of the public and other stakeholders

Working Days:
Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri  Working Hours: 08:00 – 18:00. PAYE Contract £340 per day
