Planner
Are you an experienced Sub Agent, or Site Agent looking for a rewarding career change? An independent and award winning principal contractor is seeking an experienced Planner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with expertise in construction programme management, proficiency in Microsoft and familiarity with NEC 3. Applicants must hold a degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:

Construction Programme Management:
- Create, maintain, review, and administer construction programmes.
- Utilise expertise in Microsoft Project software for effective programme development.
- Possess knowledge of NEC 3, providing valuable insights into contract management.

Monthly Updates and Reporting:
- Produce monthly updates aligned with contractual requirements.
- Liaise with the project team to discuss project progress and address any arising issues.

Commercial Support:
- Collaborate with the commercial team to track changes and prepare programmes supporting commercial claims.
- Update programmes with actual costs and produce monthly Earned Value Analysis reports (training can be provided if required).

Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organise construction development phases.
- Keep the project team informed on progress, addressing any concerns promptly.

Visual Planning:
- Produce short-term lookahead programmes.
- Develop phasing plans to visually demonstrate the programme’s progression.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Some experience in construction programme management using Microsoft Project software.
- Familiarity with NEC 3 contract management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and external stakeholders.
- Some experience in updating programmes with actual costs.
