Brownlee Cale are working with a Tier 2 national civil engineering firm looking to hire 2 permanent Quantity Surveyors for upcoming projects in the Middlesborough area, due to start in 4-6 weeks time. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial and contractual aspects of work packages from pre-start to final account
• Prepare and submit monthly valuations, applications for payment and cost reports
• Identify, evaluate, and manage variations, claims and change events
• Monitor project costs and budgets, ensuring financial perofrmance that aligns with target
• Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including scope and agreements
• Regular site visits to assess progress

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Membership of RICS or working towards
• Previous experience within a Civil Engineering firm on a large-scale project as Quantity Surveyor
• Competent with key tools: cost reporting software, excel, document control platforms
