URGENT REQUIREMENT

We are currently seeking a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for our client, a tier 1 main contractor working on a project in the North West region.

We are currently recruiting for an SQS for a Tier 1 contractor on a rail infrastructure works. This role is freelance although permanent candidates will be considered. 

Responsibilities:

• Project administration (Commercial and project spreadsheets etc.)
• Drafting of sub-contracts
• Raising payment certs for subcontractors
• Working alongside procurement department
• External valuations, re-measures and pricing variations
• Prioritise and manage time whilst working to deadlines
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients

Requirements

• Be a confident and reliable Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Extensive experience rail civil engineering environment (groundworks, earthworks, structures, bridges, platforms, drainage etc.)
• Degree or HND qualified in relevant subject preferably Quantity Surveying
• Possess strong numeracy and report writing skills
• Experience working for large, Tier 1 contractors on major projects
