A Successful & profitable Building & Refurbishment Contractor are seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team.

The Role

The Managing Quantity Surveyor is a new role within the business, currently all Surveying staff report directly into the Commercial Director.
As the MQS, You will support the Commercial Director in management of Project QSs, ensuring all projects are performing well from a commercial perspective.
You will be forward thinking and have the ability to support the Commercial Director with developing, improving and implementing slick commercial processes, systems and strategies.
You will be a hands-on QS, leading from the front whilst providing guidance, mentorship and coaching to the surveying team.
Projects are UK wide so this role will involve travelling to site 3 days per week with the other 2 days at Head Office in Birmingham or working from home.
You will ensure all Commercial Reporting is completed in a timely manner, managing CVRs and supporting your team with any commercial issues.

Requirements

  • We are looking for ambitious & enthusiastic Surveyors with experience of managing a team.
  • You must have extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor for Tier 1 or Tier 2 Principal Contractors.
  • You must have experience of working on construction projects within the Industrial, Logisitcs and Distribution Sectors.
  • You will hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Remuneration
Basic Salary of £65,000 – £75,000 Depending upon level of experience, plus Car Allowance, 6% Pension, Healthcare Cover.
