Maintenance Planning Manager
Our client a leader in the mining industry are looking for a Maintenance Planning Manager. This role will be to support the performance teams in their drive towards zero breakdowns and 99% reliability, cost effectively and safely, and to deliver relevant capital projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Management of the Safe Operation of the Site.
Taking ownership of the planning of maintenance and PPM’s
Ensuring constant supply and access to strategic spares on site
Develop and maintain standards that demonstrate compliance with current legislation.
Manage the site lifting equipment as defined within LOLER.
To develop and operate a structured WCM approach to maintenance, fully exploiting all opportunities to improve plant reliability.
To deliver and improve PM Step 0 standards.
To manage the site CMMS through the Engineering Planner.
To support continuous improvement activities
To assist with engineering investigations to rectify failures, namely EWO closeout.
To understand best practice within the maintenance environment and propose recommendations for both aligned team and infrastructural improvements.
To develop and maintain a craft skill training plan that fulfils the requirement of the HSE and the plant.
Daily management and briefing of direct reports to assist them in the execution of their activities.
To assist the site with compliance against its IPPC requirements
Manage contract and site labour during maintenance activities
To manage orders on SAP and D7i
Experience / Qualifications
• Candidates must have undertaken a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and would ideally have an HNC or equivalent.
• Experience of hydraulic systems and associated Permits to Work would be an advantage.
• An understanding of SCADA control systems would be helpful.
Experience of participation in continuous improvement projects
Candidates with experience in the Mining or Quarrying background are preferred
