Our client in the mining industry is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer
To develop design solutions to engineering and other field related issues that arise from the execution of project installation activities.
Provide timely and complete resolution to technical questions and other requests for information.
Maintain Project As-Built drawings.
Ensures compliance with job specifications.
Prepare technical assignments for the purchase or fabrication of electrical equipment and materials.
Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical system specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
Participation in the development of the required documentation and drawings for the electrical supply of underground mining equipment, communication and signaling systems and automation.
Planning of works on rewiring and reconnection of surface and underground power supply facilities, ensuring functioning of shaft sinking works, coordination of works with construction site. Checking and supporting the documentation related to the electrical and automated engineering networks and facilities of the underground infrastructure.
Experience using System Applications and Products (SAP) software.
Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
Experience in design (or project support during construction) of underground mining facilities, 10/0.69/0.4kV electrical installations/networks, communication and fire alarm networks, process automation.
Proficient user of software, preferably AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements
Degree or equivalent Qualification in Electrical Engineering
Post-graduate qualification preferred.
Chartered Engineer or the willingness to attain.
5 days a week Mon- Friday Salary circa £65k plus bonus and company benefits
